Move! Dance for the World of Entertainment 2024

This semester, I had the privilege to work as the House Manager for the Star Dance Company’s production of Move! Dance for the World of Entertainment. House Management was not on my list of career goals before this year, but it is definitely a position I have become much more passionate about. In this role, I was able to supervise all of the ushers, make sure house doors opened and closed on time so that the show stayed on schedule, interact with audience members and hear about their experience, and create and submit performance reports to the stage manager. This was such a rewarding experience as I was able to hear first hand everyone’s thoughts about the show and the things they were looking forward to seeing. I hope to be able to work in a front of house role in the future, as it was such an amazing hands on theatre role.
